Mays joins NSU Levan Accelerate and FAU Tech Runway
Mays, founded by Yilmaz Yavuz and Anil Koksal in Boca Raton, is in two university founder programs this fall.
Nova Southeastern University selected Mays for the Accelerate Program at the Alan B. Levan | NSU Broward Center of Innovation, a public-private partnership between NSU and Broward County. The cohort runs September 9 through November 18, 2026, and ends with Pitch Night on November 18 at the Alvin Sherman Library, 3100 Ray Ferrero Jr. Blvd, Fort Lauderdale. The center is led by Michael Burtov, NSU chief innovation officer. Programs are run by Jaap Donath, assistant executive director.
Florida Atlantic University welcomed Mays into The Runway at Florida Atlantic in August 2026. The Runway is FAU's public-private hub in Boca Raton (777 Glades Road) for incubating startups, with mentoring, early-stage capital introductions, and a venture program. It sits in the Florida Atlantic Innovation and Business Development pipeline.
Mays runs the daily work of a restaurant or café in one app, for one location or many. Staff work through daily checklists and tasks, and AI can check each photo against the task and send incomplete work straight back. The team clocks in on their phones, at a shared kiosk or by tapping an NFC tag, and connected thermometers alert the shift when a unit goes out of range and keep temperature logs ready for the inspector. Scheduling, inventory counts and vendor orders, training, tip pooling with payroll export, team chat and an AI phone receptionist live in the same app.
