# The tip pool calculator now matches payroll

Tips on the tip pool calculator and tips in payroll now come from the same calculation, so the screen and your payroll export agree.

- **Same rules as payroll.** The calculator follows each location’s tip pool settings: who takes part, manager exclusion, how the pool is split and the card-fee deduction.
- **Everyone who worked is included.** Each person who clocked hours in the pay period gets a row and their share.
- **Sales history on connect.** Connecting a POS location now brings in its last 30 days of sales, so tips pooled from sales aren’t short in the first weeks.
- **A warning when sales are missing.** The pay period tells you which days had staff clocked in but no sales from your POS, so you know the tips for those days aren’t in the totals yet.
