# Signing your Mays agreement

Sign your Mays agreement from the link in your email, on a phone or a computer, with no account or password. How initials work, typing or drawing your signature, getting your signed copy, and what to do if the link has expired.

When you sign up for a Mays plan that comes with an agreement (for example the Enterprise annual plan), Mays emails you a link to review and sign it online. There is nothing to install and no account or password to create: the link in your email is all you need. Signing takes about two minutes on a phone or a computer.

## Open the link

Open the email from Mays and tap the button to review and sign. The agreement opens in your browser, with who sent it and the document's title at the top.

The link is personal. Anyone who has it can sign in your name, so don't forward it. If someone else at your company should sign, ask Mays to send the agreement to them instead.

## Follow the green button

A bar at the bottom of the screen shows how far along you are (for example **2 of 7**) and a green button that always says what comes next:

1. **Initial §2.5**, **Initial §4.1** and so on. Some paragraphs end with a yellow **Initial** box. Read the paragraph, then tap the box (or the green button, which takes you to the next box). The first time, Mays suggests your initials from your name. Change them if you like, then tap **Apply initials**. After that, every tap initials a box at once. Tap an initialed box again to remove your initials.
2. **Add your signature**. Check your full name and, if you want, your title. Both are filled in from the email Mays sent.
3. **Review & agree**. Tick the box that says you agree to sign electronically and to receive this agreement and related records electronically. Tap **Details** to read what that means.
4. **Sign**. Tap it once everything is done. Your signature is added and Mays countersigns automatically.

## Typed or drawn signature

You choose how your signature looks:

- **Type** (the default). Your full name is shown in a handwriting-style font. This is a valid electronic signature.
- **Draw**. Sign with your finger on a phone or tablet, or with the mouse on a computer. Tap **Clear** to start again.

Either way, your signature and initials have the same effect as signing on paper.

## Get your signed copy

As soon as you sign you'll see **Signed — a copy is on its way to** your email address. The signed PDF arrives by email in a few minutes. You can also tap **Download PDF** right away to save or print it.

The signed PDF has the full agreement, your initials, both signatures and a last page that records when the agreement was opened, agreed to and signed. Need it again later? Open the same email link and tap **Download PDF**.

Want a paper copy? Ask Mays and we'll send one at no charge. Reply to the signing email, or reach us as described in [Getting help and support tickets](https://www.mays.app/help/getting-started/contact-support).

## If something doesn't work

| What you see | What to do |
| --- | --- |
| **This signing link has expired** | Signing links stay open for 14 days. Ask Mays for a new link (reply to the email). The new link replaces the old one. |
| **This document was withdrawn** | Mays cancelled this request, for example to correct a detail. You'll get a new email with the corrected agreement. |
| **We can't find this document** | The link may be cut off, or a newer link replaced it. Open the most recent email from Mays about your agreement. |
| **We couldn't load your document** | Check your internet connection and tap **Try again**. |
| **Already signed** | The agreement has been signed. Tap **Download PDF** for your copy. |

You never need to sign in to Mays to sign your agreement. If a page asks you for a password, close it and open the link from your email again.
